With more than 25 awards to its name, SarVecchio is the most decorated Parmesan cheese in America. Earning a gold medal in its category at the 2005 and 2007 American Cheese Society competition, this cheese has a history of excellence, yet it was born out of chance. When Kraft closed one of their Wisconsin cheesemaking facilities, the workers bought it back and created SarVecchio out of dedication to their craft. The nutty, caramel flavor and crystalline texture develop as the cheese ages for at least 20 months.
